Mary Magdalene

What is the meaning of “Magdalene”? Likely derived from her native city, Magdala on West bank of Sea of Galilee Mary Magdalene was likely a leader among women. Why do we believe this to be so? Mostly due to fact that her name is mentioned more often than most and usually first. From what did Jesus deliver Mary Magdalene? Luke 8:1-3 “Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.” Mary is the first one to see Christ resurrected. Do we have the faith of Mary Magdalene? Mary stayed close to Jesus, even when things seemed hopeless.
